What are you doing with your emotions?
Mental Toughness is the ability to acknowledge, understand and manage emotions.
Why?
Sport is a series of storms and most of the storms are emotional.
I'm a 2x Olympian and Mental Toughness Coach and I help my clients build a toolkit to manage the storms.
That toolkit allows them to SAVE THEMSELVES.
Save yourself from furious by shifting to curious:
Furious is EMOTIONAL. When your emotions are high, you miss information that's right in front of you.
Curious is RATIONAL. When you are rational, you see information that's right in front of you.
Become a detective, look for clues and get CURIOUS:
What did that mistake show me?
How can I fix it?
What do I need to spend more practice/training time on?
What can I learn from that loss?
What gaps does it show me?
If I had a do-over, what would I do differently?
CURIOUS not FURIOUS. That's what your Greatest Self would do.
